Chris Smith is a proud South Bossier City resident, small business owner, and dedicated community leader. Along with his wife, Courtney, Chris and their family call the Madison Place neighborhood in South Bossier home. Chris is the owner and operator of 1 Percent Lists NWLA, a real estate company specializing in retail and investment properties, which he co-founded with his business partner, Hunter Timms. Additionally, Chris is a partner at ArkLaTex AutoWorld, a used car dealership in North Bossier.
Originally from Shreveport, LA, Chris graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 2006 as part of the Liberal Arts Magnet Program. He went on to attend Bossier Parish Community College and Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA, where he began his professional career. After spending nearly a decade in Thibodaux, Chris moved to Mobile, AL for a short period before ultimately returning to Northwest Louisiana.
It was back home that Chris met his wife, Courtney Friedley Smith, a lifelong resident of South Bossier. The couple married in September 2019 and are proud parents of two young children, Collins Michele (4) and Connor Preston (1). Courtney is a graduate of Parkway High School (2005) and Louisiana Tech University, holding degrees in Pre-Professional Speech-Language Pathology and Secondary Education. She is a dedicated high school English teacher at her alma mater, Parkway High School.
Rooted in the local community, Chris and Courtney are committed to raising their family in Bossier City. Chris is passionate about making Bossier City the best place to live, work, and play in Northwest Louisiana. First elected to the Bossier City Council in March 2021, Chris has served as Vice President of the Council for the past two years, working tirelessly to shape a bright future for the city.
